2024 Fantasy Outlook
For the second year in a row, Irwin was pressed into action more than the Bengals had hoped due to injuries to Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase, playing a career-high 412 offensive snaps. While Irwin is sure-handed and nice as a third or fourth option in the passing game, he's out of place when asked to do more, averaging 9.9 yards per target last season. Now that Tyler Boyd is gone, Irwin is a good bet to make the team, though he'll have to compete with rookie Jermaine Burton and second-year receivers Andrei Iosivas and Charlie Jones for targets. 2023 Fantasy Outlook
Irwin spent the vast majority of his first three NFL campaigns on the Bengals' practice squad as an undrafted free agent, but then in 2022 during his fourth season with the team he stepped up on multiple occasions to provide a few key plays while Ja'Marr Chase and later Tyler Boyd were out with injuries. He ended up with only 15 catches for 231 yards but did log four touchdowns. However, the 27-year-old's job isn't secure after the Bengals drafted both Charlie Jones and Andrei Iosivas in April.
