Sapp, who was waived by the Texans in preseason, re-signed with the team in September and will provide some depth at outside linebacker.

Sapp was recalled from the Jets' practice squad in November and appeared in four games last season, failing to record any statistics. He's struggled with injuries in the past, but the team hopes this is the year he can develop into a consistent contributor.

If Aaron Maybin assumes a larger role this year, expect Sapp to step up as well.

Sapp will provide depth at the linebacker position.
