ANALYSIS
Onwuasor spent eight days in protocols and missed the Raiders' Week 17 win over the Colts. Now healthy, he should suit up Sunday against the Chargers and provide depth at linebacker while also logging special-teams snaps.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2019
2018
Like fellow inside linebacker Kenny Young, Onwuasor was previously a backup and special teamer for Baltimore, but both players are expected to step in as the starting inside linebackers in 2019. While Young is on the radar as well, Onwuasor might be better suited to a 2019 impact after playing 1,082 snaps the last two years, and the fact that Baltimore gave him a second-round tender as a restricted free agent is reassuring. While he's unproven heading into this year, Onwuasor was at least a killer blitzer last year, totaling five sacks on just 434 snaps.
Zach Orr's surprising retirement opened a spot next to C.J. Mosely in the Ravens' linebacking corps, and while many expected former second-rounder Kamalei Correa to take that role, it was Onwuasor who seized the opportunity. Onwuasor responded by racking up 90 total tackles and a sack over 16 games. There's little reason to believe Onwuasor can't replicate that level of useful IDP production with little in the way of competition behind him. The Ravens spent a fourth-round selection on Kenny Young out of UCLA and Correa is still kicking around, but neither pose a major threat to usurp Onwuasor as long as he's healthy. With that, Onwuasor stands to be an every-week starter that provides reliable tackle numbers, but owners looking to add sack upside from a linebacker spot are best served to look elsewhere.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Considering Baltimore again
LBFree Agent
March 23, 2020
Onwuasor has resumed contract discussions with the Ravens, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Onwuasor seemed to fall out of favor with the Baltimore coaching staff last season, losing his starting job at inside linebacker. He's known for big plays more so than reliability, and his freelancing drew criticism when the Ravens defense got off to a poor start to the season. Onwuasor initially expected to sign elsewhere this offseason, but it seems a cool market has forced him to reconsider the possibility of playing in Baltimore again. The team certainly could use help at linebacker, where Josh Bynes is also a free agent.
