Past Fantasy Outlooks

2019
Kiser was sort of a by-default starter for the Rams last year, especially after Travin Howard's season-ending injury, but he played the lead inside linebacker role for most of the year and seemed to play it well before a knee injury Week 11 more or less ended his season. With 77 tackles on 558 snaps, it's evident that Kiser was getting to ballcarriers frequently — it would project to roughly 138 tackles over 1,000 snaps. Kiser needs to hold off Howard and Troy Reeder to warrant this ranking.
A fifth-round selection in the 2018 draft, Kiser never saw the field for a defensive snap during the 2018 season. Then, he suffered a torn pectoral during the preseason last year and didn't play at all in 2019. It's been suggested Kiser was in line to see meaningful playing time last year and potentially even start, but his inexperience and limitations in pass coverage make him a serious question mark entering 2020. Additionally, while the Rams have plenty of holes to fill at the linebacker position, they also have a slew of players who'll compete to do so. Keep fantasy expectations for Kiser in check until he proves himself.
A fifth-round selection in the 2018 NFL Draft, Kiser was limited to playing special teams last year and didn't see the field for a defensive snap all season. He's in line to see an uptick in playing time with Mark Barron signing in Pittsburgh during the offseason. Kiser's coverage ability and range have been questioned, so the jury's still out on whether he can succeed as a three-down linebacker. Still, there's potential for him to rack up tackles if he can secure a starting role alongside Cory Littleton.

Kiser could be a player the Rams are willing to deal, Albert Breer of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
A fifth-round pick in 2018, Kiser was forced to handle a starting role last year due to injuries at inside linebacker for Los Angeles, and he posted strong numbers before he got hurt as well in Week 11. With the likes of Troy Reeder and Travin Howard now healthy, the Rams have a surplus at the position, giving them the flexibility to trade Kiser if they get an offer they like.
