Giordano returned an interception for a touchdown and added six tackles to a 34-20 victory over Jacksonville on Sunday.

ANALYSIS
With a thin secondary Sunday, Giordano stepped up and delivered. While he does have an interception, touchdown and two forced fumbles on the season, he only has nine tackles, which limits his IDP potential.

Giordano is a solid backup at safety for St. Louis, as he's totaled seven interceptions over the last two years. He doesn't hold much fantasy value unless there's an injury, however.

Giordano played a key role for the Raiders last season, and it's likely that he will be the Raiders' top reserve safety again in 2012.

Giordano will be backing up Bob Sanders at strong safety in 2009. Sanders has been injury prone in the past, and that would be Giordano's chance to make an impact for an IDP league this upcoming season.

Giordano will serve as Indianapolis' primary backup at both safety spots and could post decent statistics if Bob Sanders or Antoine Bethea were to get hurt.

With Bob Sanders battling injuries all season, Giordano was thrust into action at safety and hit the ground running. While not as physical as Sanders, Giordano is an able tackler, and with Mike Doss now a Viking, Giordano is just one Sanders’ injury away from becoming a starter.
