Wilson was claimed off waivers by the Bengals on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Wilson will head to Cincinnati after being waived by the Patriots on Monday. With DJ Turner (collarbone) and Dax Hill (knee) both on injured reserve, Wilson will likely operate in a significant role in the Bengals' secondary. Over 10 games with the Patriots this season, Wilson compiled 15 total tackles (eight solo) and a pass defensed.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

Wilson was a part of the Patrick Peterson replacement plan in Arizona in 2021 as a fourth-round pick. After working with Byron Murphy in his first two pro seasons, Wilson finds himself as the Cardinals' top cornerback after Murphy jetted to Minnesota this offseason, with newcomer Rashad Fenton or Antonio Hamilton likely filling in at the other starting spot. Through 28 career outings, Wilson has tallied 106 tackles, 14 pass defenses, three interceptions (one pick-six) and three forced fumbles.
As a fourth-round rookie last season, Wilson missed three games due to a pair of injuries, but he still ranked second among Cardinals cornerbacks in terms of tackles (48) and defensive snap share (83 percent) behind Byron Murphy (64 and 95, respectively). Wilson also notched four pass defenses and two forced fumbles along the way. After lining up almost exclusively as an outside corner in 2021, Wilson again will operate opposite Murphy this year.

Struggled before being waived
CBFree Agent
December 26, 2023
Wilson allowed the fourth-most yardage in the league this season in coverage before being waived Tuesday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Wilson was selected by the Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and he played over 700 defensive snaps in his first two seasons. However, he was dropped from the secondary rotation after Week 11 having surrendered 702 yards in coverage, most on Arizona by 332 yards. Still only 24, Wilson will almost certainly get another chance in the league, though it may come in a diminished role.
