Announces retirement
Vaccaro acknowledged last week that he's likely retired from professional football, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. "Technically I am still a free agent," Vaccaro said. "I'm happy where I'm at, doing what I'm doing. I just really felt like this was something deep down inside that I wanted to do."
ANALYSIS
Vaccaro was released by Tennessee in March and has received offers from several NFL teams since then. However, he'll elect to end his playing career following eight professional seasons with the Saints and Titans and use the money he earned into launching an eSports organization. The 30-year-old totaled 610 tackles (437 solo), 11.5 sacks, 10 interceptions, 44 pass defenses, four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries across his eight seasons.

Vaccaro solidified his role in the Titans' secondary in 2019, his second season with the team. He made an impact in coverage, racking up five passes defensed as well as an interception, while also racking up 84 tackles. While Kevin Byard is the leader of the safety unit, Vaccaro pairs with him to form a strong duo for the team.
