There probably wasn't a better situation for Baker to fall into than the one the Saints currently present. After doing almost nothing to replace incumbent No. 2 wideout Emmanuel Sanders, No. 1 receiver Michael Thomas is set to miss the first few weeks of the season while recovering from ankle surgery. Not only could this give Baker the opening he needs to make the roster, but it could allow the South Alabama product to carve out a long-term role in the offense.
