Placed on IR
Bostic (pectoral) was placed on injured reserve Friday.
ANALYSIS
Bostic is officially done for the regular season after being transitioned to IR on Friday following the pectoral injury he suffered in Week 16 against the 49ers. The linebacker will finish the regular-season campaign with 25 tackles while appearing in 15 games with the Commanders. De'Jon Harris was signed to Washington's active roster from the practice squad Friday and will provide the team with an additional depth option at linebacker in Bostic's absence.

Tennessee linebacker Jack Gibbens could be a good IDP option against the Cowboys if he starts Week 17.
Jordan Mazzara ranks the IDPs for Week 7 and likes WFT’s linebacker Jamin Davis who had 11 tackles in Sunday’s lose to Kansas City.
While Cordarrelle Patterson has been hogging all the highlights, Calvin Ridley's usage suggests a huge game is right around the corner.

A second-round pick turned journeyman, Bostic finally seems to have found a home in Washington, where he made triple-digit tackles in both 2019 and 2020 and played 85.8 and 92.4 percent of the defensive snaps, respectively. He's been a tackle compiler more so than a playmaker, but he had three sacks and an interception last season. It's less clear if he'll have the same chances this upcoming season, as the addition of first-round pick Jamin Davis could push Bostic out of a three-down role, even if it doesn't cost him his starting job. Washington likely will use Bostic in the middle and Davis on the weak side, but that doesn't necessarily mean Bostic will still handle nickel snaps.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Will likely be offered by Redskins
The Redskins will likely try to re-sign Bostic for 2020, Rhiannon Walker of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Bostic inked a one-year, "prove-it" contract with the Redskins in March of 2019, and he ended up starting every game and recording career highs in tackles (105) and quarterback hits (six). Head coach Ron Rivera stated that he liked Bostic's game and hopes he's back in 2020. It will depend on the market value, but if Reuben Foster (knee) is recovered in time for Week 1, it could ease the blow of losing Bostic if he doesn't return.
