Rest-of-Season Projections
Joins Jags' practice squad
Jacksonville signed Wolford to its practice squad Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Wolford was cut by Tampa Bay prior to the start of the regular season, but he's now getting another opportunity with a different team. With Trevor Lawrence (concussion) uncertain to play again this season, it makes sense that the Jaguars are looking to add depth at quarterback.

Wolford arrives in Tampa Bay with more experience than the average third-string quarterback around the league. The Wake Forest product just completed a three-year Rams tenure where he logged eight starts, including one postseason game, the same number he drew with the AAF's Arizona Hotshots in 2019. Wolford is therefore arguably a viable option for head coach Todd Bowles should Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask both falter in the top job.

ANALYSIS
Matthew Stafford suffered a thumb injury in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, and if he's unable to play in Week 9 against Green Bay, the Rams will need someone to back up Brett Rypien.
