2024 Fantasy Outlook
Many prognosticators viewed Sanders as the No. 2 tight end prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft behind only Brock Bowers, but NFL front offices apparently didn’t agree, taking Ben Sinnott in the second round (Washington) and Tip Reiman in the third (Arizona) before Sanders landed in Carolina with the first pick of the fourth round. The slide could be a blessing in disguise for the tight end out of Texas, as his top competition for snaps is now fourth-year pro Tommy Tremble, who had fewer than 200 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons. Sanders, meanwhile, exceeded 600 receiving yards in each of his last two college seasons while competing for targets with a slew of other NFL prospects. And while not quite a burner -- he ran a 4.69 40 at the combine -- he showcased big-play ability last year with 12 catches of 20-plus yards, second only to Bowers among FBS tight ends. The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Sanders should instantly be the best receiving threat in Carolina's tight end room, though shortcomings in blocking and route running could curtail his playing time early on. Quiet in return
Sanders failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 22-16 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
The 2024 fourth-round pick missed the Panthers' Week 13 loss to the Buccaneers after sustaining a neck injury the game prior, and he delivered a lackluster performance in his return Sunday. Sanders was not targeted in the final three quarters of the Week 14 loss after failing to connect with Bryce Young on a deep ball in the first quarter. Despite this, the rookie still leads the Panthers' tight end corps in receiving yards (302) and receptions (29) in 11 appearances this season. He'll likely continue to split offensive snaps with Tommy Tremble in Week 15, when the Cowboys visit Carolina.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Set to return for Week 14
After suffering a scary neck injury in Week 12 against the Chiefs, Sanders is expected to return from a one-game absence and play Sunday against the Eagles, Sheena Quick of Fox Sports Radio 1340 reports.
ANALYSIS
In the five games prior to the Panthers' Week 11 bye, Sanders logged 18 catches on 21 targets for 212 yards and one touchdown. He was taking on a larger role in the Panthers' passing attack due to injuries to fellow tight ends Tommy Tremble and Ian Thomas, but Sanders suffered a scary injury of his own in Week 12 that required him to be stabilized on a backboard and taken to a local hospital. He was sidelined for Week 13 against the Bucs, but it appears the rookie tight end is trending toward playing Sunday. Sanders will give quarterback Bryce Young a big target in the Panthers' passing attack.
