34.0 in2019 Fantasy Outlook
An undrafted rookie out of Tennessee, Croom spent the 2017 season on the Bills' practice squad before being elevated to the 53-man roster in 2018. He managed to log playing time in 15 contests last season, including three starts, en route to securing 22 receptions for 259 yards and a TD. Though Charles Clay signed with Arizona after he was released in February, the Bills subsequently added veterans Tyler Kroft and Lee Smith, as well as third-round pick Dawson Knox and seventh-round pick Tommy Sweeney. Following the moves, Croom's role with the team was uncertain, despite the potential he displayed last season as a pass catcher. With Kroft having suffered a broken foot during OTAs, Croom now has a better chance of both sticking around and potentially making an early-season impact. UPDATE: Croom was placed on injured reserve Sept. 1 due to a hamstring injury.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Potentially odd man out
Croom (hamstring) could be the odd man out for a roster spot following the preseason, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Croom spent last season on injured reserve with a hamstring issue, but he had 259 receiving yards as an undrafted rookie in 2018. Dawson Knox is poised to remain the starting tight end after a solid rookie season in 2019, and Tyler Kroft is likely to again serve as the No. 2 option this season. Croom will be in competition with Lee Smith, Tommy Sweeney and Nate Becker for what is likely to be one roster spot up for grabs at tight end.
