Latest Fantasy Rumors
Flourishing under Smith's tutelage
Wright says veteran quarterback Alex Smith has helped slow the game down for him, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports. "Being a rookie, I overthink sometimes. So just like little, subtle conversations, or just helping me by telling me exactly what the play is...it helps to slow everything down because I'm not nervous," Wright said.
ANALYSIS
Wright certainly looked more comfortable in Smith's first start of the season against the Lions on Sunday, setting new career highs in catches (six) and receiving yards (59). The rookie receiver nearly doubled his previous high of 30 yards, and his chemistry with Smith could help Wright start to push for the team's No. 2 wide receiver role behind Terry McLaurin.
