ANALYSIS
After losing the top fullback job to Austin Johnson, Lorig will hit the road with hopes of landing elsewhere. At the very least, Lorig can act as a pass-catching threat out of the backfield, as evidenced by 32 catches (on 50 targets) for 157 yards in 41 games over the last three seasons.

Lorig will compete to be the starting fullback for the Saints. He missed all of training camp and the first six games of the 2014 season with a significant ankle injury. He finished the year with three carries for four yards and nine receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown. While most fullbacks in the league have little fantasy value, the Saints have not shied from featuring their fullback around the goal line, both on the ground and through the air. As an apt pass catcher - he had 32 total receptions over the last three years - Lorig could potentially be used as a tight end/fullback hybrid in the passing game, since the Saints are now thin at tight end.
Lorig will compete for the starting fullback position with the Saints. Fullbacks have typically vultured a few touchdowns in the Saints offense, so Lorig, who had 30 career receptions for 193 yards in four seasons with Tampa Bay, could have some value in extremely touchdown-heavy leagues.
Lorig is the Bucs' starting fullback who is a solid blocker but probably won't see more than 20 or so touches in 2013.
Starting FB for Bucs should reprise role in 2012.
Versatile player who can line up at FB, TE and even DE. May start at FB in place of Earnest Graham if Graham gets moved back to RB in 2011.
Will try to make team as depth DE.
