Rest-of-Season Projections
Settles out of Buffalo
Williams (hamstring) has been removed from injured reserve after coming to an injury settlement with the Bills, independent NFL journalist Aaron Wilson reports.
ANALYSIS
One would think a hamstring injury wasn't going to sideline Williams an entire season, so this gives him a chance to look for work elsewhere after not really having a spot in a deep Bills receiving corps.

There are no fewer than nine wide receivers with legitimate opportunities at a roster spot in Buffalo. The 6-foot-3 former five-star recruit only ran a 4.72 40-yard dash at the 2016 Combine, dashing his draft hopes in the process. So he went north to the CFL. He had a solid first year in 2017, then actually led the CFL in receiving yards in 2018 with 1,579. In 2019, he was signed by the Bills, placed on the practice squad, elevated to the main roster, and was just starting to show what he could do when a minor shoulder injury slowed him down. It looked like the season would wind down for Duke, but he showed true grit, returning for Week 17 and a whopping 12 targets and 108 yards receiving. And it wasn't a fluke as he was targeted 10 times in the Bills' playoff game at Houston. Intriguing, if he can beat out a host of other guys for one of the team's final receiving spots.
