Carlton Mitchell

Mitchell is a project wide receiver drafted in the sixth round of the 2010 draft out of South Florida. He has good size and speed measurables, but to date they have not translated to the pro game. He saw his first regular season action last year and recorded three catches for 31 yards. With two rookie wideouts (Travis Benjamin and Josh Gordon) added to the roster to go along with incumbents Greg Little, Mohamed Massaquoi, Josh Cribbs, and Jordan Norwood, it's going to be tough for Mitchell to make the active roster in 2012.

He is on the bottom-half of the depth chart of a team that struggles in the passing game. He is not totally out of the equation at this point, but he has a hill to climb to become a factor.

He is a practice squad candidate, but will find it tough to reach the field this season. With that said, this rookie has potential to make some noise down the road if he can put in the work.
