Rest-of-Season Projections
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Sterns has showed promise in his young career with Denver, though a hip injury and a torn left patellar tendon cut his last two seasons short. Due to his injuries, the 24-year-old safety appeared in just six games over the past two campaigns, so it's possible fellow safety P.J. Locke could take over the top spot for the 2024 campaign. Heading into a contract year, Sterns will hope to get back to his prior role in which he was able to record 49 tackles, four interceptions and two sacks over 21 games. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Let go by Eagles again
Sterns was cut from the Eagles' practice squad Thursday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
ANALYSIS
Sterns was added to Philadelphia's practice squad Wednesday after being cut Sept. 3, but the 2021 fifth-round pick has been let go for a second time. The safety will look to join a team in need of depth in the secondary.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2021
After suffering a season-ending hip injury early in the 2022 season, Sterns will look to bounce back to the level of promise he showed in his first 20 games in Denver. It's possible the 23-year-old may not be ready for the start of training camp, so the team made it a point to re-sign veteran safety Kareem Jackson to a one-year deal. Assuming Sterns can come back healthy this season, it's likely he takes a step forward as Jackson's successor and builds upon his already impressive performance.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could step into bigger role
Sterns is expected to take on an increased role for the Broncos in 2023, Mike Klis of 9 NBC News reports.
ANALYSIS
The Broncos re-signed veteran Kareem Jackson to a one-year deal Sunday, but he reportedly was told he would be returning to a decreased workload. That would allow Sterns to continue to grow his role in the team's secondary, though he'll first need to prove he's healthy after a hip injury ended his 2022 season in Week 5. Prior to going down, he recorded 21 total tackles with two interceptions and four passes defended.
