2024 Fantasy Outlook
Edmonds played in 13 games for the Buccaneers last year but was little more than a reliable depth option who could give Rachaad White an occasional breather. Edmonds saw double-digit touches in a game only twice, and his 257 scrimmage yards were a career low. Tampa Bay added Bucky Irving in the fourth round in 2024 to give them a more impactful backup to White, but Edmonds' experience and willingness to help on special teams should keep him in the mix for a roster spot. RANKS
On IR with knee injury
Edmonds was placed on season-ending injured reserve Monday due to a knee injury, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old RB won't be designated for a return, meaning the only way he can play this season is if he reaches an injury settlement to be released by Tampa Bay. Edmonds hasn't practiced since the first week of training camp and recently had arthroscopic surgery on his injured knee.

Edmonds makes for an intriguing, younger change-of-pace back for Tampa Bay than the retired Giovani Bernard and comes into the 2023 season with something to prove after being largely ignored in both Miami and Denver last season. Edmonds finished with just 68 carries and 16 receptions combined between those stops after putting together a career-best season with the Cardinals in 2021, during which he amassed 903 total yards. Rachaad White has a firm grasp on an early-down role and certainly isn't without pass-catching ability, but Edmonds' speed in space should help him separate from holdover Ke'Shawn Vaughn and allow him to garner the No. 2 RB role this summer.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
On roster bubble
Edmonds is in danger of not making the Buccaneers' roster after being unable to practice throughout training camp due to an undisclosed injury, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Edmonds spent the 2023 season in Tampa Bay, though he played nearly as many snaps on special teams as he did with the offensive unit. Bucky Irving, a 2024 fourth-round pick, has impressed in camp and appears to be second on the depth chart. Irving's emergence places additional pressure on Edmonds, who may be forced to look for employment with his fifth team in as many seasons.
