Smith's impressive preseason performance was enough to earn a spot on the Jets' practice squad, as he caught all five of his targets for a team-leading 120 yards. Although he has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game since entering the league in 2021, he could be elevated to the Jets' active roster if injuries riddle the team's wide receiver room at any point this season.
