2024 Fantasy Outlook
After spending the first six seasons of his career with the Eagles, Scott signed with the Rams as a free agent immediately after the 2024 Draft. Scott's best campaign came in 2021, when he turned a surprising amount of red-zone usage into seven rushing touchdowns. Despite his small stature he's not much of a passing-down threat, instead using his speed and power to contribute between the tackles. He should be an upgrade over the likes of Ronnie Rivers as a No. 3 option, but his touches could again be limited behind Kyren Williams and rookie Blake Corum. Read Past Outlooks

Scott is back in playing shape after rehabbing a partial meniscus tear he sustained before the start of the regular season, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Scott's first stop as he searches for a new opportunity will be New Orleans, where he has an upcoming workout. With Kendre Miller (hamstring) recently having been placed on injured reserve, it makes sense the Saints are exploring their options at running back.

Scott spent his fourth consecutive year as a depth running back for the Eagles, a role which doesn't provide much fantasy value. He appeared in all but two games but wound up with career lows (ignoring his two-game rookie season) in carries (54), rushing yards (217), receptions (five) and receiving yards (15). His three rushing touchdowns weren't a career low but represented a big drop from his seven the year prior. The Eagles like him despite not using him much, retaining him on a one-year contract, but he remains buried on the depth chart with D'Andre Swift and Rashaad Penny joining incumbent Kenneth Gainwell in the backfield.
Scott had an unusual, but productive, 2021 season. The 2018 sixth-round pick's small stature and current status as an Eagle has drawn Darren Sproles comparisons, but Scott was barely used as a receiving option last year, seeing only 16 targets in 16 games. Instead, he emerged as an unlikely goal-line threat, scoring seven TDs from inside the 5-yard line as defenders simply had a hard time finding him before he knifed through traffic and into the end zone. The Louisiana Tech product does have good speed in addition to surprising power for his size, but passing-down work was spread fairly evenly between Miles Sanders, Kenneth Gainwell and Scott, giving the veteran few opportunities to show those traits in the open field. Both Sanders and Gainwell are back in 2022, making for another crowded committee in Philadelphia without clearly defined roles for the backups. Scott isn't likely to produce consistently unless Sanders and/or Gainwell misses a significant stretch of time.
After bursting onto the scene late in 2019, Scott played all 16 games last year and posted solid numbers while backing up Miles Sanders, averaging 4.7 yards per carry. Scott didn't see double-digit carries until Week 7, however, and only saw that kind of volume two more times the rest of the season. Former Eagles coach Doug Pederson is now gone, but new head coach Nick Sirianni and offensive coordinator Shane Steichen seem more likely to lean on Sanders than spread out the workload, given their respective track records with the Colts and Chargers. Scott also faces plenty of competition in a deep RB group, though his speed and power in a compact 5-6 frame still make him the favorite for the No. 2 spot. Barring a wave of injuries to thin the herd, it's hard to see Scott getting enough touches to make an impact.
A sixth-round pick by the Saints in 2018, Scott wound up with the Eagles later that season but didn't get an offensive snap as a rookie, and after failing to crack the 53-man roster in camp last year, he bided his time on the practice squad until injuries opened a spot. Even after being activated, he didn't have a meaningful role until Week 14, when he turned 16 touches into 128 yards and a touchdown. Scott, while undersized, offers some intriguing tools as a running back. He's densely built at 5-6, 203, and he ran 4.40 40-yard dash at his pro day in 2018. He's also useful in the passing game, as evidenced by 24 receptions and one drop on 26 targets last season. If that list of assets sounds familiar, it might be because Darren Sproles turned them into a long, productive career. The final six seasons of that career were spent in Philadelphia, where Doug Pederson has found use for a wide variety of running backs while favoring a committee approach. Scott has a long way to go to become the next Sproles, of course, but with the Eagles doing little in the offseason to bolster their depth chart, the 25-year-old could enter training camp as the No. 2 option behind Miles Sanders.
The Saints selected Scott in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Although the Louisiana Tech product stands at just 5-7, he was a state powerlifting champion in high school and is listed at a sturdy 203 pounds. Scott was a strong, elusive runner in college and showcased his NFL-quality athleticism by logging a 4.4 40-yard dash, 38.5-inch vertical and 10.82 agility score at the Louisiana Tech pro day. Scott could play a role in the Saints offense early on this season, as Alvin Kamara's backup while Mark Ingram serves a four-game suspension to begin the year.

Scott was one of three running backs to try out for the 49ers on Tuesday, along with Eno Benjamin and DeWayne McBride, while Ke'Shawn Vaughn was also brought in for a visit by the team, Howard Balzer of Sirius/XM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
Scott is easily the most accomplished running back out of that group, with 1,295 regular-season rushing yards and 16 touchdowns in his career. San Francisco is looking to beef up its running back depth in the wake of Christian McCaffrey's knee injury and Jordan Mason's ankle injury. The 49ers have rookie Isaac Guerendo, claimed Israel Abanikanda off waivers and signed Patrick Taylor to their active roster from the practice squad, so a practice squad spot is likely up for grabs for another running back.
