Let go by Kansas City
Kansas City waived Gordon on Tuesday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon competed with Shane Buechele for the team's No. 3 quarterback job last year, but neither player made Kansas City's Week 1 roster. It appears UDFA QB Dustin Crum will get a chance to compete with Buechele during training camp this year, though Chad Henne is expected to be the top backup behind Patrick Mahomes.

Led by star QB Russell Wilson, the Seahawks will look to dethrone the 49ers as NFC West champs. If Seattle's ground game holds up, they could do just that.
2020 Fantasy Outlook
Gordon didn't start at Washington State until his senior season, as he sat behind Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew, but he's a natural gunslinger, completing 71.6 percent of his passes for 5,579 yards, 48 touchdowns and 16 interceptions over 13 games. Gordon still is viewed as raw and mistake-prone, though, and he went undrafted as a result, opting to stay in-state by signing with the Seahawks where he'll battle Geno Smith to be Russell Wilson's backup. If Gordon beats out Smith, he won't see the field in the regular season unless Wilson gets injured, which hasn't happened over eight seasons.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Drops on depth chart
The signing of veteran Geno Smith, reported by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, likely drops Gordon to third on the depth chart at quarterback.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old signed with the Seahawks as an UDFA following the draft and for the last few weeks was the only quarterback on the roster besides Russell Wilson, but Smith has now rejoined the team. Smith served as the No. 2 quarterback in 2019 even though he never saw regular-season action and figures to be the clear favorite for the job once again, so Gordon likely will need to impress in training camp to have a chance of climbing the depth chart. The rookie had 5,579 yards, 48 touchdowns and 16 interceptions in the Air Raid attack for Mike Leach at Washington State last year.
