2024 Fantasy Outlook
Smith was selected by the Eagles in the fifth round (152nd overall) of the 2024 Draft out of Texas A&M. The 5-9, 190-pound wideout is a talented slot playmaker, highlighted by his 857 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns (six receiving, four rushing) in 10 games as a sophomore back in 2020. His 2022 season was cut short by a broken leg after four games, and he was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his shin at the NFL Combine this spring. If his legs hold up, Smith will compete with Parris Campbell to be the third wideout in Philadelphia, where A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are unlikely to cede many targets. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Inactive for wild-card round
Smith (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's NFC wild-card game against the Packers.
ANALYSIS
With the Eagles having nothing to play for in the regular-season finale against the Giants, Smith saw an expanded role on offense while A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith rested. Smith played a season-high 47 snaps on offense and finished with four catches (on six targets) for 35 yards and a touchdown in a 20-13 win. With higher stakes on the line Sunday, Smith will observe the game in street clothes while the Eagles go with a wide receiver corps of Brown, Smith, Jahan Dotson, Johnny Wilson and Parris Campbell.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Stock down after preseason opener
In his breakdown of the Eagles' 16-13 preseason win over the Ravens on Friday, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic relays that Smith's stock dropped following his performance as a punt returner.
ANALYSIS
Smith accumulated just 13 yards on three punt returns Friday, and he lost a fumble during one of those returns, which took a fortuitous bounce out of bounds. He was far less efficient in his returns than fellow wide receiver Britain Covey, which lowers Smith's chance of making the final 53-man roster unless he bounces back over the final two preseason games. Smith is also competing with Covey, Jacob Harris and John Ross for a depth spot on the Eagles' depth chart.
