ANALYSIS
Burse spent the entire 2017 season on injured reserve due to a preseason concussion and will finish his two-year tenure with the Chargers without a single reception to his name. However, he was an effective return man on special teams during the 2016 season and shouldn't have a problem landing a new contract sometime this offseason. In late February the wideout stated he's "nearing 100 (percent)" in his recovery from his season-ending concussion and expects to be cleared in time for the start of team workouts in late April.

Unless injuries continue to wage war upon the Chargers' WR depth chart (and given recent history, it's entirely plausible) Burse's best chance at making the 53-man roster will come as a return specialist, something he handled quite well during the end of the 2016 season. However with Kenjon Barner also expected to jockey for the role, it may be a tough task for the former undrafted free agent.

After spending stints with the Broncos and Steelers during his two-year career, Burse will likely struggle to make the final roster as a wide receiver. However, considering his diminutive size, and the Chargers' relative lack of threats in the kick returning unit, Burse might be able to latch on as a return specialist.

A member of the very deep Broncos wide receiver depth chart, Burse is a bit on the smaller side, and with names like Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, Andre Caldwell and Cody Latimer ahead of him, he is unlikely to make much of a fantasy impact this season.

Signed as an undrafted free agent, Burse will likely find it tough to make much of an impact as a receiver, although he could be considered for a spot as a punt returner on special teams, an area of need for the Broncos after Trindon Holliday left in free agency.
