After the Rams let go of Robey-Coleman - one of the game's best nickel corners - as the result of a salary crunch, Philadelphia scooped him up in one of the most underrated deals of the offseason. The seven-year vet has been remarkably healthy over his career, having missed just one contest since entering the league. There's a chance he could compete with Avonte Maddox or Sidney Jones for the other starting corner spot opposite Darius Slay, but the likelihood is the 28-year-old will stick to his specialty in the slot and as such won't be on the field enough to rack up a ton of stats.
Fittingly, Robey-Coleman is one of the best nickel cornerbacks in the league, and he followed up his breakout 2017 campaign with another solid showing in 2018. However, the specialist was limited to just 557 defensive snaps last year, which was his lowest total since his rookie season in 2013. As a result, it's difficult to rely on Robey-Coleman in the majority of fantasy settings.
Robey-Coleman benefited from a change of scenery in 2017 after spending the first four years of his career in Buffalo. Not only did he match the career-high two interceptions he set the season prior, but the USC product also set a career-high with 49 tackles. However, he still hasn't logged more than 700 snaps in a season, which doesn't provide him enough opportunity to become fantasy relevant. An increase in playing time is unlikely while playing behind All-Pro corners Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib.
Fittingly, Robey-Coleman projects to begin the season as the nickle cornerback for the Rams following four solid seasons with the Bills. His role limits his fantasy value, but Roeby-Coleman has established himself as an excellent nickle corner and his addition stands to help the defense as a whole. It's also worth noting that he's familiar with Los Angeles after playing three years at USC.
An undersized corner at only 5'8", Robey's first two years in the league were surprisingly productive with 86 total tackles, four sacks, and a pick-six added in for good measure. He is unlikely to see a great deal of playing time but he is starting to make his mark in Buffalo.
Robey was an undrafted free agent in 2013 and ended up seeing a fair amount of playing time, including two starts. It is a crowded defensive backfield, though, so you shouldn't plan on any big production from the second-year pro.

ANALYSIS
The 30-year-old will add some veteran depth to a secondary that lost Anthony Averett to a Week 1 thumb injury that could keep him sidelined for a month or more. Robey-Coleman played only one game for the Lions last season, but he suited up for 15 games with the Eagles in 2020, recording 44 tackles, one pass defended and one forced fumble.
