Akeem Jordan

Jordan will compete with fellow veteran Zac Diles and rookie Nico Johnson for the right to start at inside linebacker next to Pro Bowler Derrick Johnson in the Chiefs' 3-4 base defense. Jordan came over with coach Andy Reid, under whom he played all six of his seasons in Philadelphia. He was mostly a reserve for the Eagles, but if he earns the starting nod he could be a solid source of tackles for a defense that has numerous playmakers on which opposing offenses must focus.

Jordan will compete for a backup linebacker role.

Competing for a starting spot at outside linebacker.

Jordan will back up all three linebacker positions.
