Keenan Lewis

As one of the more respected cornerbacks in the game, Lewis' skills as a cover corner have worked against him for fantasy purposes during his first two years in New Orleans, as opposing quarterbacks continued to attack the other side of the field, where the Saints have deployed a revolving door at cornerback. As such, Lewis managed only 47 and 41 tackles in 2013 and 2014, respectively - a far cry from the 71 tackles he had in his last season in Pittsburgh. Yet, the offseason additions of coveted cornerbacks Brandon Browner and Kyle Wilson offer hope that opposing signal callers will be forced to test Lewis more often, leading to an increase in interceptions and tackles.

Lewis had a superb year in his first season in New Orleans, recording 47 tackles, nine pass defenses and four interceptions, solidifying his spot as one of the better corners in the game. Lewis has always been a solid tackler (71 tackles in 2012), but his four interceptions were easily a career high. As his reputations grows, however, his fantasy stock may suffer as opposing quarterbacks simply avoid his side of the field. The addition of Champ Bailey, as well as the Saints acquiring Stanley Jean-Baptiste in the second round of the draft, this offseason may help, but it may be difficult for Lewis to improve on his career year if opponents choose to play keep away in 2014.

Lewis had a breakout season in 2012 for the Steelers, breaking up an NFL-best 23 passes while recording 71 tackles and a forced fumble. After signing as a free agent with the Saints this offseason, Lewis will start and immediately becomes the team's best cornerback. From a fantasy standpoint, however, that is not necessarily a good thing as opposing quarterbacks will likely target either Jabari Greer or Patrick Robinson opposite him, reducing Lewis' opportunities to post meaningful fantasy stats.

Pittsburgh liked Lewis' 2011 performance enough to part with Bryant McFadden and William Gay. Lewis should find himself in the mix for playing time this season.

Keenan got his first taste of life in the NFL in 2009, but did not see much time on the field. He will again have a limited role in 2010 since the Steelers brought back Bryant McFadden to start at corner.

Lewis is physical corner in the mold of Ike Taylor, which is why the Steelers drafted him in the third round of the 2009 draft. The team needs depth in the secondary, so he will compete for a reserve spot among cornerbacks.
