Session was en route to having a nice season for the Jags, especially in run coverage, when multiple head injuries forced him onto IR and his health is still a question mark heading into the 2012 season. With his concussion history and hefty five-year, $30 million contract ($11.5M of which is guaranteed), an unhealthy Session may find himself on the wrong side of the final 53 in a surprising roster move. Otherwise, temper your expectations for IDP numbers, as he hasn't stayed healthy long enough in his past two seasons to crack the 40-tackle mark.
After missing 13 games for various reasons the last two years, Session is an injury risk, but he possesses high upside nonetheless. Session has shown an uncanny ability to pile up solo tackles in Indianapolis, as his last 19 appearances resulted in 115 solo stops (not to mention 141 total tackles). Given that many IDP scoring systems give heavy preference to solo tackles, Sessions is an under-the-radar player who can emerge as a second-tier option if he can just stay on the field.
Session will start at weak-side linebacker for the Colts in 2010, coming off a strong 2009 season where he recorded 101 tackles and also added 0.5 sacks and two interceptions. He should have another strong season for the Colts.
Session will start at weak side linebacker for the Colts in 2009. He is coming off a strong 2008 season where he recorded 94 tackles, and looks to continue this success. He is not much of an impact in IDP leagues, with zero sacks and zero interceptions last season.
Session should not be drafted in IDP leagues, though he could enter the radar at some point. He'll be given a chance to compete for a starting gig at the beginning of the season with Tyjuan Hagler out a few weeks. Session was able to grab two interceptions in limited time last season.
The departure of Cato June leaves a void at weak side linebacker and Session will be one of the men looking to fill June’s shoes. He’s quick in pursuit and should see plenty of action as a rookie, but will likely back up Freddy Keiaho.
