Siler suffered a torn Achilles' tendon at the end of the Chiefs’ practice Tuesday and will miss the entire 2011 season, the Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
The loss of Siler to an Achilles injury will hurt the depth of the Kansas City linebacking corps, as Siler was on pace to push Jovan Belcher for a starting position and was one of team’s top backups at inside linebacker.

After missing all of 2011 with a torn Achilles, Siler is expected to participate fully in the Chiefs' training camp and compete for the starting inside linebacker spot next to Derrick Johnson. If he can beat incumbent Jovan Belcher out of the job, he could be in line to put up solid tackle totals.
Siler will spend the 2011 season on IR after tearing his Achilles tendon in practice.
Siler is expected to open the season as a starting inside linebacker opposite Stephen Cooper, but he will be challenged for playing time by Kevin Burnett.
