Kyle Orton: Plans To Retire
Orton informed the Bills on Monday morning that he plans to retire, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
ANALYSIS
Orton will finish his career with a total of 101 touchdowns and 18,037 yards, to go along with a 59.5 completion percentage. He turned 32 last November and will ultimately decide to hang it up after nine NFL seasons. Orton was brought on to relieve EJ Manuel earlier this season and will presumably hand the reins back to the 24-year-old in 2015.

Coach Doug Marrone intends to stick with Orton as their starting quarterback the rest of the season even if the team gets eliminated from the playoff chase, The Buffalo News reports. Said Marrone, "No, not for me, unless it changes for somebody else. If you're asking me, personally, my decision is Orton is going to play. If you ask somebody else, they might tell you something different. I don't know."
