ANALYSIS
Harper injured his forearm earlier in the year and there was no mention of a shoulder injury. He may have injured his shoulder close to the end of the season.

At the age of 35, Harper will be the oldest member of the Titans defense in 2009. He decided to undergo lasik eye surgery in the off-season to improve his sight and hopefully his interception totals from last year. He only had two interceptions in 2008, but ranked 2nd on the team with 17 passes defensed and also recorded 80 tackles. He is out to prove his still has plenty in the tank and hopefully if he can increase his interception totals from last season, a Pro Bowl invitation is not out of the question.
Harper has been mister consistency when it comes to IDP value. He has averaged three picks and 78 tackles the past five seasons and should come close to those totals in 2008.
Harper is expected to be the starting right cornerback for the Titans. Essentially, Harper is replacing Adam "Pacman" Jones. Harper signed as a free agent in March after enjoying six seasons with the Colts. Harper is seen as having good cover skills while playing the run well. Harper had 73 tackles, three interceptions and 11 passes defensed. Harper will need to play well in the secondary, as the Titans gave up over 3,600 yards passing last season.
Harper got his chance and ran with it in 2003. Starting 13 of 16 games, he logged an impressive 84 solo tackles, four interceptions, a touchdown and 14 passes defended. Many safeties don't tackle that much, so we could see a regression there. If so, he'd drop off of his top-five finish in 2003, sure, but still be top-20.
