Urban is inactive Sunday against the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Interestingly enough, the move follows his Week 14 touchdown against the Jets. Be sure to look elsewhere if you were scrambling for a receiver this week and saw Urban as an option against Green Bay coming off of a decent showing against the Jets.

Urban, the oldest of the Chiefs wideouts, is likely to begin the season as no worse than the No. 3 receiver behind Dwayne Bowe and slot receiver Steve Breaston. With the wrist/thumb injury to rookie Jon Baldwin, his top competition for that spot, keeping Baldwin sidelined until Week 1 or later, Urban will have an opportunity to hold his place in the receiver rotation if his play stands out. While he may be able to utilize his 6-foot-3 size and good deep speed to his advantage, it's difficult to see him having a significant fantasy impact even if he can stay on the field, given the greater level of skill talent surrounding him and the fact that his career year is only 448 yards and four touchdowns.
Urban has a few things working for him this season: a familiarity with coach Todd Haley from their time together in Arizona, a relatively inexperienced group of receivers around him, and some momentum heading into training camp thanks to a strong performance in offseason practices. With that said, his upside is probably as a part-time slot receiver sharing snaps with Dexter McCluster, so there's not a very high ceiling here. Unless he makes an unexpected climb up the depth chart, he's not worth drafting in most leagues.
Urban will compete with Early Doucet for the Cardinals’ No. 4 receiver position during training camp, although he will enter camp on the wrong side of the ledger. Urban spent most of 2008 as the Cardinals’ fourth receiver and he sometimes lined up as the third option because starter Anquan Boldin missed four games. Thanks to Arizona’s pass-happy philosophy (they threw a league-high 66 percent of the time during the 2008 regular season), Urban caught 34 passes for 448 yards and four touchdowns. His outlook is bleaker in 2009, assuming that everyone ahead of him stays healthy and the younger Doucet lives up to his considerable upside. Urban has done well to stick around the NFL for six years after being undrafted out of Trinity College, but he’s currently a 28-year-old with questionable upside.
Urban took advantage of an injury-plagued receiving corps to catch 22 passes for 329 yards and two touchdowns last season. However, the offseason didn't go well for Urban, as the Cardinals added receiver depth and he battled a lingering right foot injury. He could win the third receiver role with a great summer, but Urban is more likely to be cut or occupy a minimal role.
Depth WR will be in for a tough fight for a roster spot in camp.
Urban is competing for the final wide receiver job. He doesn't have the speed of D.J. Hackett, his primary competition, but he has better size. The Seahawks will keep five or six receivers. If it's the latter, he'll make the squad. If it's the former, he'll be headed out of Seattle as he is in his third year with the Seahawks and is no longer eligible for the practice squad.
Reserve at wide receiver who is battling five guys for two spots. The Seahawks only kept four receivers last season, but are leaning toward keeping five this year. Urban, though, probably won't be one of them.
Third-team receiver won't have any fantasy value.
