Wade was among the Redskins' cuts Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Wade could resurface elsewhere as a depth guy, but not being able to crack the Redskins' roster isn't a great sign for the veteran wideout.

Veteran depth at the wide receiver spot.
The Vikings are not sure who's going to be throwing the ball to Bobby Wade, but he is listed as their number two receiver going into 2009 behind Bernard Berrian. Wade caught 53 passes for 645 yards and two touchdowns in 2008. Do not expect these numbers to improve in 2009, with Percy Harvin in the picture and a healthy Sid Rice.
The pesky Wade will see time in the slot as Minnesota's No. 3 receiver. With Minnesota's offseason acquisition of Bernard Berrian, Wade will find it tough to produce much more than the 647-yard, three-touchdown season he put forth last year, meaning he should be ignored in all but the deepest of leagues.
Wade lacks breakaway speed, but runs good routes and is seen as possession offense. In most offenses he'd be lost on the depth chart, but he could be the primary target with the Vikings.
Wade will be buried on the depth chart behind David Givens, Drew Bennett, Tyrone Calico, Brandon Jones, Courtney Roby, and Roydell Williams. His biggest contribution to the team will probably be as a special teamer and punt returner.
Though Wade started 14 games for the Bears last season, new offensive coordinator Ron Turner quickly realized that Wade does not have the tools to be an NFL starting receiver. Standing only 5-10 and with average speed, Wade is no match for most starting cornerbacks. However, his reliable hands make him an ideal slot receiver, the position he's expected to play this season. Since Wade was not on the fantasy radar as a starter last year, certainly do not expect him to be on it as a reserve in 2005.
He's got a lot of people ahead of him on the depth chart. Unless there are significant injuries or you're in a huge league, he doesn't warrant fantasy consideration this year.
A fifth-round draft pick, the former Arizona star will have a tough time getting on the field. Wade figures to have an uphill battle to make the team as the fifth or sixth WR.
