The Bears have named Kyle Orton as their starting quarterback, ESPNews reports.

Hutchinson struggled once again in his second preseason start for the Bears on Friday night, the South Bend Tribune reports. "We need to do a little work with the quarterback position and we'll do that," coach Lovie Smith said. "We will evaluate it throughout. All starting positions have to play well."

Despite Hutchinson's poor effort in Saturday's preseason game, offensive coordinator Ron Turner saw some positives in the quarterback's performance, the Arlington Heights Daily Herald reports. "I think everyone is focusing on the negatives, and obviously there were some," Turner said. "He’s got some things he has to work on, but overall I thought he saw the field pretty well. He made one mistake on a read, and other than that I thought he saw the field well. He’s got to work on his fundamentals a little bit like, probably, a lot of people do. But I think Chad’s going to be fine."

Hutchinson struggled in his first preseason game as a starter Saturday, completing 5-of-8 passes for 40 yards and two interceptions in a win over the Colts.

The Bears are confident in Hutchinson's ability at quarterback, according to the Chicago Tribune.
