Rest-of-Season Projections
According to coach Sean Payton, the Saints expect to part ways with Evans, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
ANALYSIS
This is hardly a surprise after the Saints signed fullback Korey Hall in free agency. Evans has said in the past he only wants to play for New Orleans or New England, so there is a chance he could retire or look to catch on with the Pats or another contender if he's willing to soften his stance.

Before tearing his ACL in Week Seven, Evans was a touchdown vulture, scoring three times in the first six games despite only a handful of touches. Healthy again, the versatile Evans will look to resume his role at starting fullback and may be fantasy-relevant again in touchdown-only leagues.

Returning from ACL surgery, Evans finished 2010 with very modest stats (two rushes for two yards and seven receptions for 41 yards). He scored one touchdown in 16 games compared to three touchdowns in six games last year.
