Ogden will announce his retirement Friday, the Baltimore Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Ogden, who was a Pro Bowler in 11 of 12 his NFL seasons, is expected to become the first player drafted by the Ravens to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His spot at left tackle -- huge shoes to fill -- is expected to be taken by Jared Gaither.

Despite seriously contemplating retirement, Ogden returns for at least one more year to protect Steve McNair's blind side.
Ogden had a bit of an off-year last year, as did the entire Ravens' offensive line. There is some talk that this might be his last year. Hopefully he can remain healthier than he did last year, when a hamstring injury slowed him and eventually forced him to miss a game.
Perennial All-Pro left tackle.
One of the game's best offensive linemen, has been to seven Pro Bowls in his nine NFL seasons and was one of the main reasons Jamal Lewis was able to rush for 2,066 yards last season.
This perennial pro-bowler will once again be the biggest force to be reckoned with on the Ravens offensive line. Expect to see Jamal Lewis running left behind Ogden often again this season.
