Let go by Dallas
The Cowboys cut Callaway on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Callaway ended the 2022 campaign on the Cowboys' practice squad and earned a reserve/future contract in January, but he's been let go ahead of mandatory minicamp. The 2018 fourth-round pick hasn't appeared in an NFL regular-season game since 2020. In a corresponding move, Dallas signed Tyron Johnson.

Callaway's checkered past has led to him bouncing around early in his career after a promising start as a rookie with the Browns in 2018, when he caught 43 passes for 586 yards and five touchdowns on 79 targets. He's compiled a combined 10 receptions over the last two seasons and will likely need to prove he can contribute on special teams to make it through roster cuts.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Getting look from Colts
Callaway, who last logged an NFL regular-season snap in 2020, is a tryout participant at Colts minicamp this weekend, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The speedy Florida product turned in an encouraging rookie season with the Browns back in 2018 after being selected in the fourth round that April. However, Callaway, who'd been suspended for his final college season in 2017 due to off-field issues, also received a four-game ban for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy to open 2019 and was waived later that season for being repeatedly late to meetings and practices. Subsequent stints with the XFL's Tampa Bay Vipers and the Dolphins and Chiefs ended in injury and/or a release; however, given he's still just 25, the Colts are apparently willing to take a no-risk look at the talented wideout.
