As we navigate through the season, we are starting to see Top 5 candidates in every category crystallize a bit, but at this point, no one has come through with any of the top prizes!  That won't stop us from trying, however.

Before diving into Week 16, let's take a look at last week's winners in every category.

WEEK 15 RESULTS

QB Passing Yards - Jameis Winston

Winston took this category for the second straight week. He was selected by 14.8% of the field.

QB Completed Passes - Jared Goff

No one picked Goff this week. We went very contrarian with our picks in this spot in hopes of catching lightning in a bottle, but it didn't work out.

RB Rushing Yards - Kenyan Drake

Drake was selected by 11.1% of the field, but this was an exploitative injury spot that we missed.

RB Receiving Yards - Christian McCaffrey

We tried to go safe with Austin Ekeler and Leonard Fournette, but elected not to take the safest of them all.  Over a quarter of the filed binked this one.

WR Receiving Yards - Travis Kelce

This category belonged to the tight ends this week.  Unfortunately we didn't go that way, and only 3.7% of entries selected Kelce.

WR Receptions - George Kittle and Julio Jones

A whopping 22.2% of the field went to Kittle and were rewarded.  Our WR pick broke the Top 10, but that was it.

FG Made - Dan Bailey

Absolutely no one got this one correct, At worst, you have a 1 in 32 chance to nail these.

Defense Points Allowed - Chiefs

Alas, the first week that we failed to convert a single square.  At least we're not alone out there!

Week 16 Targets

QB Passing Yards

Russell Wilson, SEA vs. ARI

While he isn't the biggest yardage machine in the league teams have routinely beaten up the Cardinals secondary.  Wilson has a vast array of weapons in the passing game led by Tyler Lockett

Jameis Winston, TB vs. HOU

This tangle between former ACC rivals should be fun to watch, and even though Houston is running hot, I refuse to fade WInston this time around.  Despite injuries to their two stud wideouts, I expect the Bucs to air it our again this week.

QB Passes Completed

If you believe in your yardage picks, consider a sweep, but here are two more options.

Aaron Rodgers, GB @ MIN

The Vikings give up the fourth-most completions in the league, and I expect this game to stay competitive until the end.  When he's not hurling throws at Davante Adams, Rodgers is dumping to Aaron Jones out of the backfield or spreading the ball to a host of promising pass-catchers.

Drew Brees, NO @ TEN

The Titans have a strong defense, but they allow a good number of completed passes. Brees should be able to dump plenty of passes to Alvin Kamara and find Michael Thomas in open space.

RB Rushing Yards

Marlon Mack, IND vs. CAR

With Will Grier under center, the Colts may not have to do much to beat the Panthers. For Mack, you'll be selecting 'Others' for your pick here.

Devonta Freeman, ATL vs. JAX

Freeman should log a good number of catches as well, but I suspect this will be a lopsided affair where Atlanta will end up handing the rock to Freeman a decent amount.

RB Receiving Yards

Kenyan Drake, ARI at SEA

Now that I see the light, I'll give Drake a try this week against a Seattle defense that's surprisingly weak against pass-catchers out of the backfield. They've allowed 79 catches and 723 yards to opposing running backs this season.

Patrick Laird, MIA vs. CIN

Laird almost won this category last week.  The Bengals defense might be on their heels, as Miami's offense has stepped up their play in recent weeks.

WR Receiving Yards

Davante Adams, GB @ MIN

A robust passing attack is the key to victory for the Packers, and it's about time Adams got back to being one of the most dominant pass-catchers in the game.

Tyler Boyd, CIN @ MIA

I'll roll with the Dalton-to-Boyd connection in what should be a fairly competitive matchup.  Escaping the frigid temps in Cincy will wake this team up, and they should lean on the passing game if things stay close.

WR Receptions

Zach Ertz, PHI vs. DAL

OK, I'll join the public and head into TE land for this pick.  The Cowboys have allowed a whopping 84 catches to opposing tight ends, so this should be a plum opportunity for Ertz to get Carson Wentz's check-downs.

DeAndre Hopkins, HOU @ TB

Hopkins is Deshaun Watson's favorite target, so I'll bank on the Clemson-to-Clemson connection to stay hot this week in what should be a pass-oriented affair.

FG Made

Always a true crapshoot.  Let's go with Cincy's Randy Bullock in favorable conditions in Miami, and I'll also endorse Detroit's Matt Prater against the Broncos.

Defense Points Allowed

Remember that we are strictly looking for points allowed, so we are trying to identify blowouts and goose-eggs.

I'm going with the 49ers against the Rams, and the Ravens against the Browns.
