NFL Picks: Cardinals, Titans, Jaguars and Redskins

This article is part of our NFL Picks series.

It was an uneventful week for the Staff with everyone around .500. Pianowski still has a four game lead over me, and the other three are tied for last place.

This week, we have four unanimous picks: the Cardinals, Titans, Jaguars and Redskins. The Jaguars are my, DDD's and Stopa's best bets, while the Redskins are Pianowski's.

Unanimous/Majority Picks

This week we have four unanimous picks: the Cardinals, Titans, Jaguars and Redskins. Last week we also had two unanimous picks, winning with the Falcons and losing with the Packers, bringing our season record at 9-9-2. We went 7-8 on majority picks (three or more writers) to bring our season record to 51-39-3. Last year we went 23-28-4 on unanimous picks and 121-121-14 on majority picks.

EricksonYeah, I'm a self-hating Bengals fan, so take this with the appropriate grain of salt. But I don't think that the Bengals will be able to keep up with the Chiefs' pinball offense, and they have a ton of defensive injuries... Also, the Rams line seems strange, which is why I'm taking them.
PianowskiDallas has that satisfied gleam after blowing out the Jaguars. It would be so very Jason Garrett to lay an egg the next week against a boring but respectable opponent. The line overcompensated, sliding under three, so this is an easy ticket to punch.
Liss I thought this was an especially tough slate. The only pick that jumped out at me was the Jaguars, who seem to have a perfect home matchup against a Texans squad that relies on its outside receivers and can't pass protect. I switched from the Chiefs to the Bengals upon hearing Jeff Erickson's irrational pessimism about his team.
StopaI'm doubling down on the Jaguars, buying them low and selling high on the Texans. Houston has been lucky to win three straight, and Watson has been getting hit like a piñata - far more than any other QB. I like this as a get well game for the Jaguars defense.
Del Don The Texans enter riding a rather unimpressive three-game winning streak, whereas the Jaguars enter coming off back-to-back ugly road losses, so look for Jacksonville's defense to have a "get right" game against a struggling Houston O-line. I also like the Cardinals, Ravens and Patriots this week.
