PREGAME UPDATES

THE SLATE

Valencia Basket at ALBA Berlin

Status Check: Martin Hermannsson (PAM), Maodo Lo (BER), Johannes Thiemann (BER)

Best Bets for Success: Mike Tobey has started two consecutive games and averages 25.0 DFS points in last three. After Bojan Dubljevic's rather disappointing showing in last round, Tobey is in pole position for starting lineup against ALBA. Nikola Kalinic contributes in most areas of the game and averages 22.7 DFS points in last five games. Serbian forward has recorded at least two in each, points, rebounds and assists columns in last 13 outings. Both, Tobey and Kalinic, were lightly worked against Olympiacos with under 20 minutes showings, and will face best possible matchup as ALBA has worst defense against frontcourt positions in the league. Valencia is topping another inglorious ranking: they concede most against forwards, so ones like Luke Sikma and Simone Fontecchio will get a good opportunity to shine. They average 23.8 and 21.8 DFS points in last five outings respectively and will be keen to bounce back after less impressive performances on Tuesday. Fontecchio spend just 11 minutes on the court against Zalgiris, and it's very likely that he will see more action in ALBA's penultimate game of EuroLeague season.

DFS Darlings: Guillem Vives, after recovering from back injury, playing time increases from game to game. He started and averaged 12.5 DFS points in last two, and could improve his stats further next time out. Niels Giffey has scored 10 points against Zalgiris, his top in this year. With average of 13.2 in last three games, he is worth a shot at just $5,800. Giffey has regularly produced over 20 DFS points in 2020, before he was forced to miss nine games with ankle injury.

Khimki Moscow Region at CSKA Moscow

Status Check: Alexey Shved (KHI), Devin Booker (KHI), Stefan Jovic (KHI), Janis Timma (KHI), Evgeny Voronov (KHI), Mike James (CSK), Joel Bolomboy (CSK), Nikola Milutinov (CSK)

Best Bets for Success: This matchup has highest total points line on the slate and it would not be a big surprise if it will end with blowout in CSKA's favor, particularly with Shved out. Jordan Mickey, along with Shved, were again responsible for the majority of Khimki's points in Wednesday's game against ASVEL. Khimki's star duo scored 60 out of 87 in matchup won after overtime. Mickey averaged 41.9 fantasy points per game over his past seven outings, and he should have just about free rein in Round 33. Johannes Voigtmann has scored in double figures in last three, with 33.5 DFS points in just 22 minutes on court in Round 32 game against Zenit. German has missed just one field shot in this game and converter all six free throws. His form is on the upside in last weeks: 31.3 DFS point over last three outings against 20.1 in previous five. Tornike Shengelia has scored at least 14 points in five consecutive games now, and will be expected to continue this streak against Khimki, who allows 90.2 points per game average.

DFS Darlings: Sergey Karasev keeps producing DFS points in the shadow of Shved and Mickey. He now averages 17.3 in last five outings and started in seven consecutive outings now. Micheal Eric started last two games for CSKA in absence of other nominal centers, and averaged 21 DFS points. Despite only 13 minutes on the court against Zenit, he still managed nine points and six rebounds, and, if Bolomboy sits again in Round 33, Eric should thrive against Khimki.

LDLC ASVEL at Zenit Saint Petersburg

Status Check: Matthew Strazel (ASV), Kevarrius Hayes (ASV)

Best Bets for Success: Guerschon Yabusele has recorded his first double-double this season in overtime defeat to Khimki in last round. French forward also scored his season best 24 points and now averages 16.8 ppg in March. Norris Cole has put double figures in points column in ten consecutive games and dished out his season best nine assists last time out. He averages 24.6 DFS points in last five. Mateusz Ponitka has just missed his second double-double this season with nine points and eight rebounds in defeat to CSKA in Round 32. He started last two games on the bench but that didn't affect much his fantasy points production. Ponitka averages 25.5 DFS points, including 7.2 rebounds in last five outings. Kevin Pangos will face rather favorable matchup on Friday night, as ASVEL is one of the worst teams in the league in limiting opposition guards. Pangos averages 26.5 DFS points in last five and Zenit will rely on him on last straight of the race for playoff spots.

DFS Darlings: Derrick Walton scored 25.0 DFS points in 27 minutes on the court on Wednesday and it was his best fantasy points production so far this season. With Strazel injured, Walton will probably be involved again against Zenit. Tarik Black will face favorable matchup on Friday, as ASVEL conceded most points in the league against centers. Black was very productive last time out with 15.5 DFS points produced in 16 minutes on the court.

FC Barcelona at Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul

Status Check: Pau Gasol (BAR), Edgaras Ulanovas (ULK)

Best Bets for Success: After unexpected loss to Maccabi, Barcelona will try to get back on track in one of the most interesting fixtures of Round 33. Nikola Mirotic's fourth double-double this season and his record fantasy delivery of 50 points in last round has put his DFS points production to 37.8 over last five games. His quality could be crucial for Barca on Friday if Mirotic will recover after his longest outing this year, 34 minutes. Cory Higgins, after missing Round 31 due to foot injury, has scored 20 points in his come back and we will possibly see him at his best again. He was not limited after brief absence and spent his usual time on court. Nando de Colo has extended his amazing streak of producing at least 20 DFS points to 14 games after another effective outing on Tuesday. He now averages 32.1 DFS fantasy points and 29.2 minutes on the court in last five. de Colo and Jan Vesely are the main players behind Fenerbahce's great form this year and recovery from disappointing start of this season. Czech center averages 30.1 DFS points in last five games. After 15 points against Bayern in last Round, Vesely has now scored in double digits in all but one of last 15 games.

DFS Darlings: Kyle Kuric has scored in double figures in two consecutive games now, and averages 15.2 DFS points over last four. He played his best game this season in reverse matchup, scoring 25 points, including seven out of eight from down town. Adam Hanga steadily delivers fantasy points from the bench with an average of 14.8 over last five outings. Hanga is priced at $5,500 on DraftKings slate and contributes to all columns in the stats sheet.

Olympiacos Piraeus at Real Madrid

Status Check: Hassan Martin (OLY), Aaron Harrison (OLY), Kostas Papanikolaou (OLY), Walter Tavares (MAD), Sergio Llull (MAD), Anthony Randolph (MAD)

Best Bets for Success: Sasha Vezenkov just can't stop scoring in recent weeks and will be in serious contention for March MVP award. Olympiacos' star averaged 19.0 points in last five games and produced over 20 DFS points in 10 consecutive outings. Another pillar of Greek team, Kostas Sloukas, has equaled his season high 11 assists in Round 32 and now averages 30.8 DFS points in last three games. Usman Garuba enjoyed two very productive showings in recent weeks, delivering an average of 29.5 DFS. He has settled in power forward slot of starting lineup and spike in his form couldn't come in better moment, as Real desperately need a win on Friday night. Garuba will very likely feature heavily in Round 33, especially if Walter Tavares will continue to struggle with hip injury. Trey Thompkins has scored in double digits in three consecutive outings now. He was a top scorer in matchup against Efes, with 19 points, including three times from down town.

DFS Darlings: Georgios Printezis exploded for a season-best 18 points on Tuesday in his first start in eight Rounds. Veteran forward also hit three times from down town and is available on DraftKings slate at $5,900. Rudy Fernandez featured for first time since February, after missing seven games due to back injury. He came back with a bang, producing 18.5 DFS points in just 15 minutes spent on the court.
