Royal Challengers Bangalore vs. Mumbai Indians: Seventh Match Preview

Both teams come off losses in their first match of the season as they gave off at Chinnaswamy Stadium, a ground notorious for high scores. Though this is Royal Challengers Bangalore's home ground, Mumbai have the superior record against then here, winning seven out of the nine matches between the teams. Jasprit Bumrah, who injured himself in the first match, is an unlikely starter while Lasith Malinga is in the setup and could come in for Bumrah. RCB are expected to go unchanged for this fixture.

Conditions: Pace expected to do early damage but a belter of a pitch on the cards.

Player Recommendations:

Wicket-keeper: Quinton de Kock (9.5 credits)

De Kock returns to a familiar ground where he spent a few seasons. The South African opener has switched allegiance to Mumbai but will be looking to make his presence felt at the Chinnaswamy. Opening the batting, he has a great chance to influence the game and on this surface is a great pick to have.

Batsman: Shimron Hetmyer (8.5 credits)

While at first glance, Hetmyer might come across as hit or miss, the West Indian big hitter is a handy player in any condition. He swings the bat cleanly and is a ferocious hitter who can change the course of the match in this format of the game. Back him in your fantasy side.

All-rounder: Krunal Pandya (8.5 credits)

All-rounder: Krunal Pandya (8.5 credits)

Aside from his ability and record against AB de Villiers, Krunal is a fantastic all-rounder who can swing the game with either bat or ball. An impact player, Krunal will be banked upon in the powerplay overs with the ball and as a floater in the batting line-up. With a shortened batting group, expect Krunal to be used more with the bat.

Bowler: Umesh Yadav (9 credits)

Umesh Yadav knows the Chinnaswamy inside out and is a dangerous bowler in the first six overs as he has time and again proven. Last season, he was in rip-roaring form and with a World Cup place to play for, expect him to come steaming in at RCB's home ground.

Captain: Quinton de Kock

Vice-captain: Krunal Pandya

Predicted Playing XI:

Mumbai Indians: Quinton de Kock, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Yuvraj Singh, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Ben Cutting, Mitchell McClenaghan, Rasikh Salam, Lasith Malinga

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Parthiv Patel, Virat Kohli, Moeen Ali, AB de Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Shivam Dube/Washington Sundar, Colin de Grandhomme/Tim Southee, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj
