Preview:

The Guyana Amazon Warriors will take on the Barbados Tridents in their third match of this season at the Providence Stadium on Sunday. It is quite a hectic schedule for Guyana and this would be their second match on back-to-back days. They had won their first match against the St. Lucia Zouks by 13 runs. Both their batting and bowling units came up with a clinical performance on a tricky pitch. The Tridents, on the other hand, would be playing their first match of the season and, hence, they would be looking to start off on a winning note.

Weather Conditions: The chances of rain in this match are almost nil. So, a full match can be expected.

Pitch Conditions: The first match saw a score of 150-odd runs in the first inning and the chasing team failed to chase it down. The spinners had their say in that match and it is expected to behave in the same manner this time around.

Probable Playing XIs

Guyana Amazon Warriors:

Chandrapaul Hemraj, Brandon King, Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Shoaib Malik, Sherfane Rutherford, Shadab Khan, Keemo Paul, Chris Green, Ben Laughlin, Romario Shepherd

Barbados Tridents:

Top Picks:

Wicket-Keeper: Nicholas Pooran (9.5 Cr)

He didn't have the best of outings in the first match of this edition but he isn't someone who stays quiet for long. He was the highest run-getter for West Indies during this year's World Cup and that tells a lot about his potential.

Batsman: Shimron Hetmyer (10 Cr)

The Swashbuckling Caribbean batsman hasn't been his own self for a while. He had a below par World Cup campaign and a dismal India series as well but you can expect a player of his ability to find his mojo back in this tournament.

All-Rounder: Jason Holder (9.5 Cr)

The West Indies skipper is going to be the main man with both bat and ball for the Tridents as well. This is going to be his first match of the season and you can expect him to light up the stadium with both his skills.

Bowler: Chris Green (8.5 Cr)

The Australian bowled an economical spell of 4-0-28-2 in the first match against the St. Lucia Zouks and also played a cameo of 28 runs with the bat. That sums up his ability.

Captaincy Options (in order of priority): Chris Green, Jason Holder
