Bangladesh vs. West Indies: Second Tri-Series Match Preview

Bangladesh and West Indies will face off in the second match of the Tri-Nation Series in Dublin on Tuesday. The game will be another opportunity for both teams to try different things before the all-important upcoming International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup. In the previous five meetings between both teams in the 50-over format, it is advantage Bangladesh as they managed to win three compared to West Indies' two victories. This will be the 24th One Day International (OD) to be played at the venue. Highest team score of 381-3 in the 50-over format was registered by West Indies in the previous match, whereas the lowest team total of 80 at the ground was registered by Netherlands in the match against Windies in 2008.

West Indies will enter the match high on confidence as they thrashed the home side Ireland by 196 runs in the tournament opener on Sunday. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of in-form John Campbell, Evin Lewis and veteran left-hander Darren Bravo to score bulk of the runs, whereas on the bowling front, the onus will be on the likes of pacers Kemar Roach, Sheldon Cottrell and Shannon Gabriel to provide timely breakthroughs.

Second in the list of key players features West Indies' Shai Hope. The wicketkeeper-batsman is in great form with the bat in hand as he played a breathtaking innings of 170 off just 152 balls in the tournament opener on Sunday. Hope has played 50 ODIs for the Caribbean giants where he has scored 1,947 runs at an impressive average of 48.67, which included five centuries and eight fifties.

All-rounder: Shakib Al Hasan (9.5 Cr)

Third in the list of key players features Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan. The 32-year-old is the second-best all-rounder in the 50-over format according to the ICC rankings and is a seasoned campaigner for his country in all formats of the game. In ODIs, Al Hasan has represented Bangladesh in 195 matches, scoring 5,577 runs and also has 247 wickets to his name. 

Bowler: Kemar Roach (9 Cr)

Last in the list of key players features West Indies' Kemar Roach. The 30-year-old is an experienced campaigner for the Caribbean giants in the 50-over format where he has played in 81 matches and claimed 116 wickets.
