The Monkeys must keep winning and wait for the Brothers to lose every single game they have left in their schedule to have a slim shot at winning the first half of the 2020 CPBL season. That's highly unlikely, so it would make sense to see them start preparing for the second half of the campaign. The same can be said about the Guardians, who are in rebuild mode and currently sit last in the standings with a 22-33 record. The pitching matchup should favor the Monkeys in a big way, as Lisalverto Bonilla will get the nod against another foreign arm, Mike Loree. Both pitchers have an ERA of above 4.50, but Bonilla has been the best pitcher for the Monkeys while Loree has been Fubon's second-best hurler behind Henry Sosa. Right now, Bonilla represents Rakuten's best chance to earn a victory in a must-win game for them.
