The Monkeys didn't play Sunday but remain at the top of the standings with a strong 19-12 record. They haven't been at their best lately, though, going 1-3 in their last four contests. The Lions have been even worse, as they're in the midst of a four-game losing streak. There will be a duel of lefties in this contest, with Chiang Chen-Yen facing Ryan Carpenter. Chiang is coming off a good start last week, allowing just two runs in seven innings to pick up the win. He's been one of the better pitchers on an unimpressive Lions staff. Carpenter, on the other hand, has been struggling of late and the Monkeys' bullpen has not performed as expected, either. The 29-year-old lefty will need to turn things around in this one, though hell have the benefit of playing against the team with the worst record in the league so far.
