Game Preview

It's an interesting pitching matchup Thursday, as Shih-Peng Cheng has traditionally been a better pitcher than what he's shown this season. The southpaw was an impressive 11-8 with a 3.48 ERA in 2019, but he's been in much poorer form this season and has an elevated 1.88 WHIP. Meanwhile, Bonilla has been very solid as his record indicates, but he does have a mediocre 18.7 strikeout rate.

Top Picks/Captaincy Options

Lin Li, Monkeys- Lin had the night off Wednesday, but he should be in the lineup Thursday and is an automatic candidate for top pick/captain any time he plays. The infielder is slashing an outstanding .379/.410/.588 with 36 extra-base hits (13 doubles, three triples, 20 home runs), 64 RBI and 12 stolen bases. There isn't anything Li can't do as a hitter, and even though he's been quiet lately, his upside is demonstrated by the fact he recently scored between 22 and 40 Dream11 points in six games during an eight-game stretch.   

Chen Chen-Wei, Monkeys- Chen came through in strong fashion Wednesday as one of our recommendations, so he's right back in play again. The 22-year-old went 2-for-4 with a run and now carries a .310/.358/.454 line with 11 doubles, nine triples, four home runs and 31 RBI. His elite speed has also enabled him to steal 29 bases, and he's now scored at least 13 Dream11 points in five of the last six games. 

Kao Kuo-Lin, Guardians- Kao comes into this game with a .309/.385/.541 line that he's partly forged with 23 extra-base hits (12 doubles, 11 home runs). He also has 31 RBI, and although he's been somewhat quiet in recent games, he's demonstrated his upside this season by eclipsing 20 Dream11 points on multiple occasions. 

Yang Yao-Hsun, Monkeys- Yang has been productive again this season, slashing .286/.348/.524 with 14 extra-base hits (eight doubles, one triple, five home runs) and 20 RBI over 33 games. Yang also most recently flashed his vast upside by going for 45 Dream11 points against this same Guardians team on July 15, and he had 44 Dream11 points against them June 24 as well.
