Tevaun Smith

You may recognize Smith as the guy who broke Odell Beckham’s record for one-handed catches in a minute with 41, but he’s more than just a workout warrior who only shines in a t-shirt and gym shorts. Smith led the Hawkeyes in receiving yards with 596 on 43 receptions, good enough for a 13.9 YPR. At 6-2, 205, Smith has a nice combination of size, speed, and hands to provide an explosive element to Iowa’s offense. The turnover Iowa has undergone at receiver will also help Smith’s production as the departure of Kevonte Martin-Manley and Damond Powell will open up even more targets for the team’s top wideout. With this year being C.J Beathard’s first season as the full-time starter under center, any investment in Smith may not begin paying off immediately, but his talent and role in the offense should allow him to put up solid numbers in spite of unproven QB play.
