Returns punt for touchdown Saturday
November 29, 2016
Morgan was not targeted Saturday but he did run a punt back 83 yards for a touchdown in Maryland's win over Rutgers.
ANALYSIS
It was unusual for Morgan to not receive a single target despite entering Saturday as Maryland's leading pass catcher with 40 receptions. Regardless, he was able to make an impact in the return game with a weaving punt return that went all the way for a touchdown. Morgan figures to be used more heavily in the passing game in Maryland's bowl game.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2016
2015
Morgan was a late addition to Maryland’s roster as he transferred over from New Mexico State in June. The Maryland native battled through a leg injury that held him out of three games in 2015, but he had two strong seasons as an Aggie overall, highlighted by a 75-catch, 903-yard campaign in 2014. Morgan adds a couple of important components to an otherwise questionable receiving corps, namely legitimate starting experience and size (6-0, 190). He should step into to a starting role provided he’s a quick study with the playbook. He’ll have a soft early season schedule to get acclimated to his role in the new offense, but shaky quarterback play and a crowded receiving corps puts a cap on his upside.
Morgan couldn't quite break through into the elite tier of fantasy wideouts last year, but he should take the next step this season. He returns after 75 receptions, 903 yards and seven touchdowns, showing high upside with six games with at least eight catches and four with at least 100 yards, including 202 yards against UTEP. Morgan should feature even more prominently in the passing game this season as the Aggies replace 106 receptions from graduated players. Also, junior quarterback Tyler Rogers should improve in his second year as starter, which will help Morgan produce more efficiently with his high target volume.
