Forgoing senior season
December 21, 2017
Cobbs has decided to forgo his senior campaign at Indiana and enter the 2018 NFL draft.
ANALYSIS
Cobbs racked up 74 catches for 841 yards and eight touchdowns during his final season with the Hoosiers, leading the team in each of the categories. The 6-foot-4 wideout possesses the size and athletic ability that could catch the eye of NFL scouts, especially if he tests well at the combine. Cobbs finishes his collegiate career having amassed 139 catches for 1,990 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2017
2016
Cobbs was poised to build on his breakout 2015 season last year, but a suspension followed by a season-ending broken ankle nixed that completely. Fortunately, Cobbs (6-4, 212) is back to full strength heading into 2017. When healthy, he nabbed 60 passes for 1,035 yards in 2015, and both marks were the best on the team. The emergence of teammate Nick Westbrook is a slight concern for Cobbs' target count, but there should be room for both after Ricky Jones and Mitchell Paige graduated after combining for 111 catches last year.
Cobbs broke out as a true sophomore last year, catching 60 passes for 1,035 yards and four TDs in 13 games last year, and he'll likely take another step forward in 2016. A big wideout at 6-foot-4, 212, Cobbs' touchdown rate is all but guaranteed to increase – multiply, even – both due to a general progression to the mean and because the departure of star RB Jordan Howard leaves a 10-TD void from last year. The departure of QB Nate Sudfeld is a concern, but incoming JUCO quarterback Richard Lagow should give Indiana an immediate-impact replacement.
