Roderick McDowell

McDowell exited spring atop the Tigers’ backfield, and owns a decent 5.2 yards per carry average in his limited action. If he comes close to the departed Andre Ellington’s 212 touches from a year ago, then you’ve got a 1,000 yard rusher. Unfortunately, the sense is McDowell is set to lead a committee backfield with D.J. Howard and Zac Brooks. He’s worth a gamble late with the hope he secures the feature role, but if that’s your plan for McDowell, you better have a backup option.
