Bernard recorded 17 carries for 78 yards during Saturday's 22-21 loss against Brigham Young. He also grabbed two of four targets for six yards and a touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Bernard was able to grab his second touchdown reception of the season, and he surpassed 2,000 career rushing yards at Utah. It didn't change the fact that Utah's offense is struggling with whatever quarterback they throw out there. Brandon Rose made his starting debut against the Cougars and the Utes nearly pulled out the win, however, it wasn't necessarily due to a strong offensive performance. Bernard will continue to get significant touches each week, but defenses will be able to focus their efforts against him. Utah will play at Colorado next week.
